THREE DONEGAL FOOTBALLERS have made the Hoganstand Team of the Week.

Rory Gallagher’s side reached the All-Ireland quarter-final following their 0-21 to 1-15 victory over Cork in Saturday’s Round 4B qualifier at Croke Park.

Donegal take on Dublin this coming Saturday at 6pm back at GAA HQ in the last eight.

Hoganstand, the popular GAA website, included Karl Lacey, Ryan McHugh and Patrick McBrearty in their best XV of the weekend.

Here’s what they said about the Donegal trio:

Karl Lacey: Donegal will need to be firing on all cylinders when they take on Dublin this coming Saturday and Lacey’s experience will be vital to their chances of causing an upset.

Ryan McHugh: The Kilcar dynamo is a bundle of energy and contributed the latest in a long list of top drawer performances which yielded three points.

Patrick McBrearty: After the final whistle on Saturday, Cork manager Peadar Healy conceded that they couldn’t cope with McBrearty who found the target with 11 of his 12 scoring attempts.
