Cranford AC delight in Belfast as Eoghan Moore takes silver

FOUR OF Cranford AC’s young athletes traveled to the Mary Peters Track in Belfast yesterday.

First up was Killian Browne and Allan Neely in the shot putt.  Killian had a good throw of 6.40 metres and Allan got a pb with a fine throw of 7.24m getting sixth place.

Molly was up next in the under-15 girls javelin where she threw 17.28m and was 5th place overall.

In the under-14 boys javelin Killian Browne threw over 21m to also come home in 5th place.

In the under-15 boys javelin Eoghan Moore threw over 35m earning himself a silver medal and now qualifies for the Nationals in Tullamore.

The last event of the day for Cranford was Allan Neely in the u14 boys 800m where he ran a good solid race.

Thanks to Eamon Giles and the parents who travelled with the athletes. Next week is back to Belfast for the under-15, 16 and 17 age groups.
