JASON QUIGLEY MADE THE boxing world take note after a statement win over James de La Rosa in Las Vegas.

Quigley went 11-0 with a clever win over experienced Mexican de La Rosa at the T-Mobile Arena.

A range of Quigley’s skills were pulled from the locker as the 24-year-old from Ballybofey announced himself on the big stage, taking a superb win on the undercard of the Canelo-Khan world middleweight title bout.

Quigley’s jabs tested de La Rosa and the Mexican southpaw was rocked in the fifth but Quigley displayed real ring nous throughout.

De La Rosa had his moments in the middle rounds, but the 100-90 verdict from the three judges confirmed the biggest win yet of Quigley’s professional career.

“I feel unbelievable!” said Quigley. “This is the stage I wanted to headline. I hope to be back soon.”
