How good a move was this for Yvonne McMonagle’s goal for Donegal yesterday?

YVONNE MCMONAGLE SURE knows how to finish them.

But yesterday, there was as much to enjoy in the creation as the conclusion as McMonagle scored the first of her two late goals as Donegal defeated Westmeath 3-17 to 0-14 in the Lidl Ladies National Football League Division 2 final at Parnell Park.

Donegal captain Niamh Hegarty started the move and found substitute Shannon McGroddy on the run. She, in turn, played it into her Termon clubmate Geraldine McLaughlin and a reverse ball set McMonagle in to shoot into the top corner.
