THE 2020 Wild Atlantic Adventure Race (WAAR) will be officially launched on Friday night at an Adventure Race Information night in Bunbeg.
Flash Recovery Lounge hosts the event, which gets underway at 7pm.
Multi-sport Adventurer, Ultra Trail Runner and two-time WAAR winner Shaun Stewart will officially launch WAAR 2020.
“Launching WAAR at the Flash Recovery Lounge Adventure Race night is a great fit for us,” organisers say.
“FRL was recently set up by our very own clubman, WAAR steward and senior backroom team member, Paul Gallagher.”
MC for the night will be Damien Ó Dónaill from RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta.
Guest speakers include Gavin Ward, who holds a Masters in sports psychology, Sean Tianihad from SmartMeals.ie and Adam Speer, a personal trainer and adventure racer.
Afterwards a questions and answers session will be held with Shaun Stewart, multi-sport adventure racer, Eugene McGettigan, an adventure racer and Ultra 555 organiser and adventure racer Fiona McGinley.
