OLLIE HORGAN SAW HIS Finn Harps side lose their way somewhat after Ryan Curran’s goal against Longford – and said they were ‘lucky’ to hold on for the win.

Curran’s penalty in the 57th minute gave Harps their second win of the season and moves them onto seven points.

Curran stroked home after Harps had several chances to go in front.

Thereafter, Harps were holding on for dear life.

“We ran our luck at at the end, but we got away with it and it’s a good three points,” was how Horgan described the win.

“Longford are short a lot of players, but that didn’t show in the last half-an-hour. They pushed us back and we were very lucky to hang on.

“I thought our best period was at the start of the second half. We haven’t beaten Longford in a long while. It was tough, but it always is against Longford. I can only imagine what it will be like when they get their players back.”
