How Twitter saw Finn Harps’ win over Derry City

FINN HARPS’ RETURN to the Premier Division could hardly have gone better last night.

A packed house at Finn Park saw Harps defeat Derry City 2-1. Ollie Horgan’s newly-promoted team roared to a rare win against their derby rivals with Dave Scully and former Derry player Ryan Curran on the mark.

It was a night to savour for Harps, with this their first win over City since September 2000, only their sixth overall in all competitions and only their second ever in the League – the only previous coming on February 1 1998.

Tweeting was something associated with birds back in those days, but last night Twitter was full of North-West derby joys …

Finn Harps had more flare this evening.
