St Eunan’s College post FAIS Ulster Under-15 quarter-final win

ST EUNAN’S COLLEGE Letterkenny overcame Patrician High School Carrickmacross in the FAIS Ulster Under-15 quarter-final at Gortakeegan today.

Conor O’Reilly scored the first goal courtesy of a free-kick but the Monaghan team struck back through a free-kick of their own, with Oisin McEntee on target.

O’Reilly then missed a penalty for St Eunan’s – managed by Peter Lee with Paul Browne his assistant – before when they were awarded a second spot kick, Daragh Ellison scored to make it 2-1.

Nicky McLaughlin got the third and Brendan Barr got number four. Following an own goal to get Patrician back to 4-2 down, O’Reilly put the seal on the victory.

Meanwhile, the Letterkenny school’s Under-17 team will be in action on Friday at 1pm at the Peace Link in Clones for the Bank of Ireland FAI Schools Tom Ticher National Junior Cup semi-final against Coláiste Phádraig, Lucan, who won the Leinster title this afternoon.
