A NIGHT OF celebration was the agenda from a travelling Finn Valley Athletic Club contingent at the AAI annual awards ceremony in Tullamore on Saturday.
The Stranorlar based club won the best club, while members James Kelly – a shot-putter – won best thrower and Sommer Lecky was Donegal’s top underage athlete. All in all it was a proud night for athletes, club leaders and parents.
The guest of honour on the night was Thomas Barr, the current Irish senior record holder for the 400m hurdles.
