Fantastic gold for Aaron McGlynn at England Athletics & National Championships

GLENFIN’S AARON MCGLYNN has won gold in the Under-17 800m of the England Athletics & National Championships this afternoon.

The Finn Valley clubman (pictured above courtesy of Finn Valley AC) clocked a time of 1:56.06 to take first place having taken control of the race with two laps to go in Sheffield ahead of Adrian Lloyd-Davies in second with Jake Young in third.

The 16-year-old won his heat on Saturday in a time of 2:00.53.
