CHRISTIAN BONNER kicked two late points this afternoon as NUIG defeated Dublin Institute of Technology in the Corn Daithi Billings.
The Na Rossa man arched over twice in the closing stages as NUIG won 2-8 to 0-11 at Parnell Park.
Gerry Canavan, the Mayo Under-21 player, scored two goals, one of them a penalty, for NUIG.
The two points from Donegal Under-21 Bonner helped seal a hard-fought win.
Bundoran’s Jamie Brennan was part of the NUIG squad, but didn’t feature. Brennan continues his recovery from a hamstring injury and is nearing full fitness again.
The win puts NUIG into a semi-final, where they’ll meet a DCU team that has plenty of Donegal blood through it.
