Five triallists could feature for Harps in tomorrow’s pre-season friendly

FINN HARRPS MANAGER OLLIE HORGAN will again run the rule over five triallists tomorrow when his side take on Ballina Town in their second pre-season friendly.

Following Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat to the Inishowen League at Maginn Park, Harps are back in action against Ballina in a game that will take place at the Lakeside in Ballyshannon (kick-off 2.30pm).

Horgan is hopeful of adding former Bray Wanderers and Shelbourne player Adam Hanlon to his squad for the 2016 season.

Hanlon impressed on Wednesday night, enough for the Harps manager to offer the player terms. The Arklow-based Hanlon, who plays on the right side of midfield, has attracted interest from other Premier Division clubs, but Horgan is hopeful of landing the 23-year-old.

While Hanlon will not be a part of the squad tomorrow, he is edging close to a move to Finn Park.

Horgan will use tomorrow’s game to have another look at Liam Flatley, Ryan McManus and Ethan Boyle, who all featured in Wednesday’s game.

Winger Flatley and midfielder Flately were most recently on the books of Sligo Rovers while right-sided player Boyle was with Waterford United last season and was capped at Schoolboys level by Horgan.

French strikers Wilfried Tagbo (pictured above by Gary Foy) and Yoann Fellrath are also expected to feature tomorrow. Tagbo was with Harps last season and is back on trial in pre-season while Fellrath played on Wednesday and will be assessed again tomorrow.
