Darragh Fitzgerald opened the scoring in the third minute on the astroturf and although Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair were playing against a strong wind, they did have chances to level.

Daire Ó Baoill struck the crossbar and then Ciaran McHugh was well-placed, only to stall as he thought he was offside.

Gaelcholaiste na Mara’s Jack Darcy doubled their advantage on 19 minutes and Cathal Kelliher was on hand on 43 minutes to make it 3-0 at the break. Kelliher added a fourth in the second half.

Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair: Gavin Sweeney; Liam McFadden, Conor McCafferty, Ryan Kelly, Conor McFadden; Conor Boyle, Naoise Ó Baoill, Daire Ó Baoill, Ciaran McHugh; Sean O’Donnell, Eamon Ó Colm. Sub: Padraig Gallagher.
