THREE DONEGAL MEN featured for Garda College as they defeated Cork Institute of Technology at University of Limerick this afternoon.

Gary Farren (pictured above by Geraldine Diver) from Malin was corner-back, Gaoth Dobhair’s Peter McGee (pictured below) played midfield as Seamus Corcoran of Naomh Conaill came on in the second half of the 1-13 to 0-8 win. Shane O’Gara, Naomh Columba, was the substitute goalkeeper.

The Independent.ie Sigerson Cup clash was postponed in Cork yesterday but today in Limerick, the Garda College – who were 1-6 to 0-3 up at half-time – made no mistake second time around with Galway’s Justin Burke scoring the only goal.

Garda College, last year’s Trench Cup winners, face this year’s hosts University of Ulster Jordanstown in the next round. The UUJ side is managed by Martin McHugh and fellow Kilcar men Ryan McHugh and Patrick McBrearty on the panel.
