Raphoe 5k full results: Poignant moment for Mark Hoy in victory

THERE WAS A moment of poignancy in the Raphoe 5k that was hosted by Lifford/Strabane Atheltic Club this morning.

Mark Hoy from Finn Valley Athletic Club (pictured above by Kieran Carlin) wore the vest of St Michael’s Enniskillen, in memory of his his friend Adrian Power, who passed away last week.

Hoy clocked a fine 15:52 to win today, while Derry Track Club’s Martin Cox was second and Emmet McGinty of City of Derry Spartans came home in third. Letterkenny Athletic Club’s Natasha Adams was the first woman home in a time of 17:26.
