MARK MCHUGH WILL continue to work on an individualised training programme over the next few weeks and will play no part in Donegal’s remaining Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna Cup fixtures.
McHugh was originally selected in the McKenna Cup squad, but it is not clear if he will return to the fold for the start of the Allianz League.
“At present he is not in the squad, but he is working on his own individual strength and conditioning programme under our supervision,” the Donegal manager, Rory Gallagher, told Donegal Sport Hub.
Gallagher was non-committal about a potential return to action for McHugh.
The Kilcar man previously pulled out of the panel in 2014 following the Allianz League campaign and missed that year’s run to the All-Ireland final, only to come back for the 2015 season.
