DONEGAL WILL OPEN their Dr McKenna Cup campaign with a home fixture against Down on January 3.

The Ulster Council tonight released the scheduling of fixtures, following the draw that was made last Tuesday night in Belfast.

Rory Gallagher’s side welcome the Mourne County to MacCumhaill Park in Ballybofey to start, before St Mary’s College come to O’Donnell Park in Letterkenny seven days’ later.

Then, in the final series of group fixtures, Gallagher will take his team to his native Fermanagh on Wednesday, Janaury 13, for a clash at Brewster Park in Enniskillen.

Gallagher has included 12 new faces in his panel for the 2016 curtain-raiser.
