Swilly Rovers and Riverstown FC fixture FAI Under-17 Cup to be rescheduled

SWILLY ROVERS’ WILL must take on Riverstown FC from Cork in the FAI Umbro Under-17 Cup before January 10.

That’s because the nest round of the competition, round four, is pencilled in to be played two weeks afterwards.

The FAI Domestic Committee held a conference call today to discuss the rescheduling after Riverstown didn’t travel to the north-west at the weekend in the inclement weather, with the tie due to take place on Sunday at Flagpole Park in Rathmullan.

The fixture can now take place anytime on of before January 10 and should all parties agree to play it over the Christmas period this would be allowed.
