For Gallen, her superb win continues an excellent run of form and this was her fourth Irish title – her third in Raphoe´s colours. Gallen was a European bronze medalist last year and is keen to push on from where she left off.
Gallen defeated Linda Desmond from Ryland in the Girl 6 66kgs final, taking a sweeping unanimous decision from the ringside judges.
Irving was in top form as she won the 41st Irish title collected by Illies Golden Gloves. Irving swept to a fine win over Kilfenora´s Caitlyn O´Connor in the Girl 3 47kgs final.
Collins completed a brilliant hat-trick for Donegal boxing as she took the Girl 4 45kgs title back to Inishowen.
Collins was a 4-1 split decision winner over Macy Cunningham from Crumlin.
There was no joy for another three Donegal punchers in finals action.
Former Irish champion Cody Lafferty lost out to Janlin Rodin from Portlaoise in the Girl 6 48kgs decider, while Anna Doherty from Dunree was stopped by St Carthages´ Nicole Buckley at Girl 5 43kgs level.
On Friday night, Letterkenny ABC´s Muireann Bradley was pipped by Lauren Mullally from Rosslare in a pulsating Girl 2 39kgs final.
The 2019 Championships was completed over 188 bouts.
