Finn Harps snap up Shamrock Rovers striker in loan deal

Finn Harps have signed Shamrock Rovers striker Sean Boyd on a loan deal.

The 20-year-old has joined Harps until July, Shamrock Rovers confirmed today.

Boyd is a Republic of Ireland Under-18 international.

In July 2016, he rose to prominence when he came off the bench for Rovers to score a debut goal in a 3-1 Dublin Derby win over Bohemians.

The Dubliner, who played for both Rivervalley Rangers and Malahide, has come through the age groups at Rovers.

Boyd hit seven goals in 2016 and last year scored in an end-of-season 3-1 win over Waterford United.
