Finn Harps full-back Aidan Friel signs with Shelbourne


Aidan Friel has been unveiled as a Shelbourne player having made the move to the Reds from Finn Harps.

The Strabane native played for Harps in the promotion-winning campaign of 2018, but has switched to Shels for 2019.

Friel came to Harps having had spells at Athlone Town, Wexford Youths and Longford Town.

Friel scored his only goal of the 2018 season in Harps’ landslide 7-1 win over Cabinteely.

Friel joins other new faces like Conan Byrne, Oscar Brennan and Ryan Brennan at Tolka Park.
